Title of the Project
:
“Investigation of the most toxic ultrafine Particulate Matter (PM1) across three climatic zones in India: Emissions, Toxicity, Health, and Policy”.
Qualification
:
Master’s degree in Environmental Science /Physics /Climate Change/ Atmospheric Science/ Meteorology/ or equivalent) from a reputed University /Institute OR Master’s degree in Engineering /Technology (Environmental/ or equivalent) from a recognized university. Along with two years' experience in R&D; in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations or Scientific activities and services in the area of climate change/ air pollution and policy /advocacy. Candidates with Proficiency in data analysis, MathLab and GIS may be preferred.
OR
Four year Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Energy, Chemical, Biotech, engineering or technology from recognized university /institutions with two years’ experience in R&D; in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations or Scientific activities and services in the area of climate change/ air pollution and policy /advocacy. Candidates with Proficiency in data analysis, MathLab and GIS may be preferred.
OR
Four year Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS) /Public health from recognized university /institutions with two years equivalent experience in climate-health impacts /public health, and proficiency in data analysis, epidemiology, or policy modelling.
Mandatory Skills
:
Candidates having knowledge in field monitoring, environmental assessment, chemical analysis, data analysis, mathematical modelling, GIS and experience in technical writing will be preferred.
Stipend
:
(a) Rs. 42,000/- per month (+10% HRA) to Scholars who are selected through (i) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (ii) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by the Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
(b) Rs. 33,000/- per month (+10% HRA) for all others who do not fall under (a) above means without NET /GATE.
