Job Purpose

To supervise daily manufacturing, filling and packing activities and ensure that production is completed on time, in the right quantity and quality, with minimum wastage, as per approved BMR/BPR, SOPs and production plan.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Production Planning & Execution

- Execute daily production plan as per priorities given by Production Manager.
- Allocate manpower, machines and lines according to production requirements.
- Ensure achievement of daily batch, filling and packing targets.
- Monitor hourly/daily production output and take action on delays.

2. Manufacturing Supervision

- Ensure manufacturing is carried out strictly as per BMR, SOP and approved process parameters.
- Verify correct product, batch, shade and material before starting production.
- Monitor mixing, heating, cooling, homogenization and other defined process parameters.
- Ensure no unauthorized process change is made.

3. Filling & Packing Supervision

- Ensure correct bulk, shade and packaging components are issued to the line.
- Monitor filling, assembly, labeling, coding and packing operations.
- Ensure correct SKU, shade, component, batch coding and packing configuration.
- Prevent product/shade/component mix-ups during line changeovers.

4. Productivity & Manpower Control

- Allocate operators/helpers according to line requirements.
- Monitor output per line, manpower productivity and machine utilization.
- Minimize idle time, production stoppages and unnecessary overtime.
- Maintain discipline and proper utilization of manpower on the shop floor.

5. Quality & Process Compliance

- Coordinate with IPQA and QC for line clearance, bulk approval and in-process checks.
- Immediately stop and escalate production in case of quality deviation.
- Ensure rejected/HOLD material is properly identified and segregated.
- Implement corrective actions communicated by QA/IPQA.

6. Wastage & Yield Control

- Monitor batch yield, filling loss, packing rejection, component wastage and process loss.




- Record actual consumption versus standard/expected consumption.
- Investigate abnormal wastage and take corrective action.

7. GMP, Hygiene & Safety

- Ensure shop-floor cleanliness, personnel hygiene and GMP compliance.
- Ensure machines, equipment and production areas are cleaned before and after operations.
- Ensure operators follow required PPE and safety procedures.

8. Documentation & Reporting

- Ensure timely and accurate completion of BMR/BPR and production records.
- Maintain daily production, manpower, rejection, wastage and downtime records.
- Report production achievement, pending production and major issues to the Production Manager.
