We are looking for a production unit head for our factory located at KR Pete, near Mysore.

Industry: Garment Manufacturing (Men's Premium Innerwear)

Position: Production Head - Garment Manufacturing

Location: KR Pete (45 KM from Mysore)

Reporting To: Cluster Manufacturing Head

Role Purpose

Lead end-to-end garment production operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, productivity, cost, delivery schedules, and manpower efficiency, while ensuring safe and disciplined manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Budgeting

- Own the production strategy, annual operating budget and cost management for garment operations.
- Drive capacity, resource and cost optimisation in line with SBU business objectives.
- Propose and lead CAPEX, facility upgrades and technology investments aligned with long-term manufacturing strategy.

1. Operational Monitoring & Performance Management

- Lead end-to-end production operations to achieve volume, cost, quality and delivery targets.
- Review production plans, order progress, capacity, productivity, OTIF and WIP, driving timely corrective actions.
- Resolve cross-functional bottlenecks and operational escalations to ensure seamless order execution.

1. Continuous Improvement & Manufacturing Excellence

- Lead Continuous Improvement, Lean, TPM, Kaizen and SLT initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Identify and implement best-in-class manufacturing practices to improve productivity, efficiency and capacity.




- Drive waste reduction, resource optimisation and sustainable cost improvement initiatives.

1. EHS, Quality & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to EHS, Quality and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements across operations.
- Lead readiness for internal, external and customer audits and ensure timely CAPA closure.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, statutory and regulatory requirements within manufacturing operations.

1. Team Management & People Development

- Build and lead a high-performing production leadership team through coaching, mentoring and capability development.
- Drive manpower planning, recruitment, performance management and succession planning for current and future requirements.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Education & Experience
- BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Textile, Garment Technology, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 14 to 20 years of experience in garment/apparel manufacturing or the export industry with significant experience in production leadership.
- Strong experience in sewing operations, production planning, productivity improvement and manpower management.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, IE practices, 5S and continuous improvement will be preferred.
- Robust leadership, analytical, problem-solving and people-management skills.
