WHAT YOU'LL OWN

1. Core live match experience - Own the product experience for SD Live's match centre across cricket and football - scorecards, commentary, timelines, stats, lineups, player cards, live widgets, and post-match flows.
2. Product roadmap and execution - Own and maintain the SD Live product roadmap across Android, iOS, and web in close collaboration with the founder, engineering, design, editorial, SEO, and business teams.
3. PRDs, specs, and product clarity - Convert ideas, user needs, sports calendar priorities, and business requirements into clear PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframe notes, and sprint-ready specifications.
4. Notifications and personalisation - Build smarter engagement loops through match alerts, wicket/goal notifications, match start/end reminders, favourite teams, favourite players, tournaments, and user-level preferences.
5. Data quality and live reliability - Partner with engineering and sports data providers to define, monitor, and improve live data accuracy, event coverage, latency benchmarks, and escalation processes for high-traffic matches.
6. Product analytics and experimentation - Own product analytics requirements, event tracking, funnels, dashboards, cohorts, A/B tests, and feature success metrics across app and web.
7. Retention and repeat usage - Track and improve DAU, MAU, D1/D7/D30 retention, session length, notification CTR, repeat match-day usage, app installs, and app store rating.
8. Web-to-app and Sportsdunia ecosystem journeys - Improve the flow between Sportsdunia web properties and SD Live - including match pages, news pages, fixtures, scorecards, live widgets, and app install journeys.
9. Monetisation and user experience balance - Work with the founder and business team to test monetisation opportunities such as ad placements, sponsorship units, branded modules, and partnership-led product journeys without hurting speed, trust, or user experience.

Sports calendar and launch readiness - Plan product readiness around major tournaments and leagues - IPL, World Cups, Champions Trophy, ISL, Premier League, La Liga, Champions League, and other priority events.
11. Competitor tracking - Track competitor products such as Cricbuzz, ESPNcricinfo, LiveScore, Sofascore, FotMob, and similar apps. Run regular teardowns to identify UX gaps, feature opportunities, and product improvements.

Must Have

● 2-3 years of product management experience, with at least 1 year working on a consumer-facing app or sports/fintech product.

● Strong understanding of both cricket and football - formats, match flow, score structures, key events, fan behaviour, and how users consume live sports content.

● Experience working on consumer products involving real-time, high-frequency, or event-driven use cases such as sports, news, gaming, trading, live events, mobility, or similar categories.

● Proven ability to own a product roadmap and ship features end-to-end across mobile and/or web.

● Strong product sense for mobile UX, information hierarchy, notifications, live content consumption, and user engagement loops.

● Strong analytical mindset - comfortable with Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA4, Firebase, or similar analytics tools; basic SQL is a plus.

● Ability to write sharp, detailed PRDs with user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, event tracking needs, and success metrics.

● Comfortable working with engineering teams on APIs, data flows, edge cases, latency, technical trade-offs, and release priorities.

● Comfortable operating in a rapid-moving startup environment where processes are still being built and ownership matters.

● Ability to work directly with the founder and cross-functional teams to prioritise clearly, communicate trade-offs, and move fast without losing product quality.
