Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with 4-5 years of expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Power BI, data modelling, DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data visualization. The role will involve collaborating with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to deliver scalable and insightful dashboards and reports that support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
- Develop efficient data models using star and snowflake schemas.
- Write advanced DAX calculations, measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading using Power Query (M Language).
- Connect Power BI with various data sources including SQL Server, Azure SQL, Excel, SharePoint, Oracle, SAP, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Optimize report performance through efficient data modelling, DAX optimization, and query tuning.
- Develop reusable datasets and semantic models following BI best practices.
- Configure Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and workspace permissions.
- Publish, schedule, and manage reports through Power BI Service.
- Troubleshoot report issues, data inconsistencies, and refresh failures.
- Maintain documentation for dashboards, datasets, and data models while ensuring compliance with BI governance and security standards.

Required Skills Experience

Power BI Data Visualization





- Solid hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M).
- Experience with Power BI Gateway, incremental refresh, composite models, DirectQuery, Import Mode, and Live Connection.
- Strong understanding of data visualization and dashboard development.

Data Database Skills

- Strong SQL programming skills, including query optimization and stored procedures.
- Expertise in data modelling and dimensional modelling concepts.
- Experience working with multiple data sources and integrating them into Power BI solutions.
- Knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) implementation.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Azure data services such as:
- Azure SQL Database
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Microsoft Fabric

- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of BI governance, security, and reporting best practices.

Business Analytical Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective reporting and visualization solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams.
