: Key Responsibilities:

- Provide L3 support and administration for EDB Postgres Advanced Server (EPAS), PostgreSQL Community Edition, Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, and Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server.
- Manage PostgreSQL databases deployed on Azure VM, AWS EC2, and on-premises environments.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of cloud PostgreSQL platforms, including provisioning, configuration, security hardening, monitoring, backup and recovery, HA/DR, and performance optimization.
- Administer and optimize Azure PostgreSQL Adaptable Server environments.
- Configure High Availability, Read Replicas, Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), Long-Term Retention (LTR), Private Endpoints, and VNET integration.
- Monitor Azure PostgreSQL environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Alerts.
- Perform Flexible Server upgrades, storage and compute scaling, and maintenance planning.
- Manage Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL clusters in production environments.
- Configure and maintain Aurora Replicas, Multi-AZ deployments, Global Database, Cross-Region DR, automated backups, and snapshots.
- Work with Aurora Serverless v2, Provisioned Clusters, Reader Endpoints, and Performance Insights.
- Perform Aurora patching, engine version upgrades, and failover testing.
- Design and implement HA/DR solutions using Aurora Global Database, Azure Flexible Server HA, EDB Failover Manager (EFM), RepMgr, Streaming Replication, and Logical Replication.
- Conduct DR drills and ensure compliance with defined RTO/RPO objectives.
- Perform database performance tuning and query optimization using pg_stat_statements, auto_explain, Performance Insights, Azure Query Store, and EXPLAIN ANALYZE.
- Optimize queries,



indexes, partitioning, connection pooling using PgBouncer, and database parameters.
- Perform benchmarking and capacity planning using pgBench and workload simulation tools.
- Manage backup and recovery using pg_dump, pg_dumpall, pgBackRest, Azure Backup, LTR, Aurora Snapshots, and PITR recovery.
- Regularly validate restore procedures through DR and recovery testing.
- Implement database security controls and follow applicable security and compliance standards.
- Configure Microsoft Entra ID Authentication, AWS IAM Authentication, SSL/TLS encryption, pgAudit, and RBAC controls.
- Automate database administration and operational activities using Shell, Python, or Ansible.
- Support critical production databases in a 24x7 support environment.

Preferred Experience:

- 8+ years of experience in Database Administration.
- 3+ years of experience in Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL administration.
- 3+ years of experience in Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server administration.
- Hands-on experience managing critical production databases in a 24x7 support model.
- Strong experience in PostgreSQL production support, HA/DR, performance optimization, backup and recovery, and cloud database platforms.
