Key Responsibilities1. PLS-CADD Modelling &

- Design

- Develop and maintain transmission line models in PLS-CADD based on survey and engineering data.

- Import and process survey data, coordinates, terrain information, and route alignment.

- Prepare longitudinal profiles and route alignment drawings.

- Perform tower spotting considering technical and project requirements.

- Check and optimize tower locations based on span, clearance, terrain, and constructability.

1. Sag-Tension &
- Conductor Design

- Perform sag and tension calculations for conductors and earth wires/OPGW.

- Validate hot and cold sag conditions.

- Check span limitations, wind span, weight span, and ruling span.

- Ensure required electrical and statutory clearances are maintained.

- Review conductor and earth-wire configuration as per approved design criteria.

1. Tower Spotting &
- Structure Schedule

- Prepare tower spotting profiles and tower schedules.

- Determine appropriate tower types based on line angle, span, terrain, and loading conditions.

- Prepare tower-wise data including:

- Tower location

- Tower type

- Tower height

- Span details

- Ground clearance

- Wind span

- Weight span

- Deviation/angle

- Coordinates

- Crossing details

1. Clearance &
- Crossing Checks

- Check statutory and engineering clearances for:

- Roads

- Railways

- Rivers and canals

- Existing transmission lines

- Distribution lines

- Buildings and structures

- Pipelines

- Communication lines

- Other utilities

- Identify critical crossings and propose technically feasible solutions.

1. Survey Data &
- Route Analysis

- Review route survey data and identify discrepancies or missing information.

- Coordinate with survey teams for clarification and correction of field data.

- Analyse terrain and route conditions for suitable tower placement.

- Review KMZ/KML files, coordinates, alignment, and route maps.

1. Engineering Deliverables

Prepare and maintain

- PLS-CADD models

- Tower spotting profiles

- Sag-tension calculations

- Tower schedules

- Sag templates

- Clearance reports





- Crossing schedules

- Tower-wise coordinates

- Span schedules

- Material/BOQ-related data

- Route alignment drawings

- Design calculation sheets

- As-built/updated transmission line models, where required

1. BOQ &
- Material Coordination

- Prepare/review BOQ and material requirements for transmission line works.

- Assist procurement teams by providing technical material requirements.

- Review quantities of towers, conductors, insulators, hardware fittings, earth wire/OPGW, and related materials.

- Coordinate with procurement and project teams regarding design-related material requirements.

1. Coordination &
- Project Support

- Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Survey, Procurement, Construction, and Project Management teams.

- Coordinate with clients/consultants for design submissions and technical clarifications.

- Incorporate comments received from clients and consultants into design deliverables.

- Support site teams during execution by resolving design and technical issues.

1. Quality &
- Compliance

- Ensure all designs comply with applicable project specifications, approved design criteria, relevant Indian Standards, CEA requirements, and client requirements.

- Conduct technical checks and quality reviews before submission.

- Maintain proper revision control of drawings, models, calculations, and engineering documents.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong working knowledge of PLS-CADD.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD.

- Understanding of overhead transmission line design.

- Knowledge of tower spotting and route profiling.

- Positive understanding of sag-tension calculations.

- Knowledge of span, wind span, weight span, and clearance requirements.

- Ability to work with survey data and coordinates.

- Knowledge of KMZ/KML and Google Earth-based route analysis.

- Understanding of transmission line crossings and clearance requirements.

- Ability to prepare technical reports, schedules, and engineering documentation.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
