Role & responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day Kubernetes platform operations across Rancher-managed environments.
- Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage Kubernetes environments using Rancher and RKE/RKE2.
- Perform RKE platform upgrades, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
- Support and execute RKE1 to RKE2 migration activities, including planning, implementation, troubleshooting, and validation.
- Lead incident investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and problem resolution activities.
- Perform configuration management and operational support for Kubernetes platforms.
- Implement platform configuration changes and security hardening measures.
- Monitor cluster health, performance, availability, capacity, and overall platform reliability.
- Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible and Python.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code standards and operational runbooks.
- Establish and maintain operational standards, documentation, procedures, and support processes.
- Troubleshoot Linux systems, networking, infrastructure, and container-related issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Support platform capacity planning, performance tuning, and continuous optimization.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and disaster recovery requirements.




- Conduct regular platform reviews and recommend improvements based on industry best practices.
- Document and propose viable solution architecture frameworks.
- Provide technical mentoring and guidance to client and engineering teams.
- Participate in platform improvement initiatives and strategic technology roadmap activities.
- Work effectively in high-pressure operational environments and take ownership of critical incidents.

Preferred candidate profile Candidates with solid hands-on experience in Kubernetes Administration + Rancher + RKE/RKE2 + Linux, along with Ansible and Python automation, are preferred.

Candidates should have experience supporting production Kubernetes platforms, handling incidents and RCA, performing upgrades and migrations, implementing security enhancements, and driving platform reliability and continuous improvement.
