Job Summary The Placement Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and coordinating placement activities for learners by connecting with employers, organizing interviews and job drives, tracking student outcomes, and ensuring timely joining and retention. The role requires strong coordination with students, centre teams, Placement Officers, and industry partners to achieve placement targets and ensure quality placements.

Responsibilities

- Placement Coordination: Coordinate end-to-end placement activities for learners across assigned centres/projects.
- Understand learner profiles, skills, location preferences, and job readiness to facilitate suitable opportunities.
- Share relevant job openings and interview schedules with eligible learners.
- Coordinate candidate shortlisting, interview schedules, selection updates, and joining formalities.
- Ensure regular follow-up with selected candidates until joining.
- Employer Industry Coordination: Coordinate with existing employers for job openings, interviews, and placement requirements.
- Support the team in identifying and connecting with current organizations for placement opportunities.
- Maintain regular communication with HR representatives and employer SPOCs.
- Collect and communicate job descriptions, eligibility criteria, work location, and interview information accurately.
- Job Drives Interview Coordination: Plan and coordinate physical and virtual job drives, interviews, walk-ins, and recruitment events.
- Ensure adequate candidate mobilization and participation in job drives.
- Coordinate with centre teams to ensure candidates are briefed and prepared before interviews.
- Track interview outcomes and ensure timely communication to candidates and relevant stakeholders.
- Placement Joining Tracking: Maintain accurate and updated placement, selection, joining, and retention trackers.




- Follow up with selected candidates to ensure they join within the committed timeline.
- Monitor joining status and identify reasons for dropouts or non-joining.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with placed candidates to support retention.
- Escalate critical cases and low-joining concerns to the reporting manager.
- Placement Documentation Data Management: Collect and verify required placement and joining documents as per organizational guidelines.
- Ensure placement proofs are complete, accurate, and uploaded within defined timelines.
- Maintain proper records of employer details, candidate status, interview outcomes, joining, and retention.
- Ensure placement data is updated accurately in relevant systems/trackers.
- Centre Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with Centre Coordinators, Trainers, Placement Officers, and other project teams.
- Participate in regular review meetings and share placement updates, challenges, and action plans.
- Support centres in planning weekly and monthly placement/job-drive calendars.
- Ensure timely communication of placement-related information to all stakeholders.
- Target Achievement Reporting: Work towards achieving assigned placement, joining, and retention targets.
- Prepare regular MIS and performance reports.
- Analyse placement performance, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Track key indicators such as interviews, selections, joining percentage, placement conversion, and retention.

Requirements

- Eligibility: Bachelors degree in any discipline.
- 13 years of experience in Placement.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace.
