Designation : Mechanical Piping Engineer

Department : Projects - Engineering

Location : As per Project Requirement- PAN India

Reporting To : Site Incharge/ RCM

Experience : Minimum 5 Years

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Job Purpose To execute, supervise, and coordinate piping engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and understand project specifications, piping layouts, P&IDs;, isometric drawings, and engineering documents.
- Prepare, review, and execute piping installation plans in accordance with project requirements.
- Supervise piping fabrication, erection, hydro-testing, and commissioning activities at project sites.
- Ensure adherence to ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM, and other applicable industry codes and standards.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, construction, and client teams for smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and ensure completion within approved schedules and budgets.
- Verify piping material specifications, MTOs (Material Take-Offs), and ensure material availability at site.




- Conduct technical reviews and troubleshoot piping-related issues during execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, HSE requirements, and company procedures.
- Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, inspections, and audits.
- Prepare engineering reports, progress reports, and project documentation.
- Support commissioning and start-up activities of piping systems.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of piping design, fabrication, erection, testing, and commissioning.
- Expertise in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, LNG, or Process Industry projects.
- Proficiency in reading P&IDs;, GA Drawings, Isometrics, Plot Plans, and Technical Specifications.
- Knowledge of international standards such as ASME B31.3, API, ASTM, and related codes.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, MS Project, and engineering software.
- Solid project coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
