Cogito is currently working on Artificial Intelligence applications in Annotation work and is looking to engage with " PHP Developer (WordPress Preferred)" to participate in ongoing projects.

We're looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our team and help build and maintain e-commerce website. You'll be working across the backend, from designing to optimizing websites and plugins. You will be working closely with designer, content, and marketing teams to turn ideas into polished web experiences.

What you'll be doing:

- Building, testing, and maintaining web applications using PHP
- Writing clean code that your teammates won't dread reviewing
- Working closely with other teams to understand what they need and turning that into a working solution
- Digging into bugs and performance issues and actually fixing them
- Hooking up third-party APIs and services where needed
- Keeping security, scalability, and reliability front of mind, not an afterthought
- Documenting your work so the next person (or future you) isn't left guessing
- Keeping an eye on recent tools and trends in the PHP world and beyond




- Responsible for handling WordPress and its components/plugins upgrades, customization/creation of web applications, and portal development independently.
- Utilize WordPress to set up and manage websites, including videos and images.
- Should know the ins and outs of WordPress.

What we're looking for:

- A degree in Computer Science, IT, or something related (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Solid PHP skills, with a good grasp of object-oriented programming
- Required: WordPress, plugins, widgets, MySQL
- Having experience with WooCommerce Customization, WooCommerce API, WooCommerce Payment Gateway development, and WordPress API.
- Experience with the CMS WordPress and Bootstrap Framework
- Comfortable working with MySQL or similar relational databases
- Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and building/consuming RESTful APIs
- Required: PSD to HTML
