- Thind Eye Hospital requires trained OT Staff/OT Technicians to support protected and efficient ophthalmic surgical services
- The technician will prepare the operation theatre according to the surgery list, verify availability and functioning of instruments, equipment, consumables, implants and emergency supplies and immediately report shortages or faults

- Duties include assisting with patient reception in the OT area, confirming completion of required identification and checklist steps, supporting positioning and maintaining privacy and dignity
- The technician will assist the surgical and nursing team within the limits of training and assigned privileges, follow aseptic technique and help maintain the sterile field throughout procedures

- After surgery, they will support instrument counting, segregation, cleaning, decontamination, packing and transfer to CSSD, along with proper handling of biomedical waste and sharps
- The role includes cleaning and disinfection of OT surfaces and equipment,



monitoring environmental and infection-control requirements and documenting theatre preparation, surgical consumables, implants, sterilisation traceability and equipment checks
- The candidate will coordinate with surgeons, anaesthesia personnel, nurses, CSSD, stores and biomedical engineering

- They must participate in emergency drills, infection-control surveillance, incident reporting, audits and ongoing training

- Knowledge of cataract and other ophthalmic procedures, microscopes, phaco systems and ophthalmic instruments will be preferred

- Candidates should be disciplined, alert, physically capable of OT duties and willing to work according to surgery schedules or emergencies

- Strict adherence to patient safety, confidentiality, hospital policies, NABH requirements and professional conduct is mandatory
- The ideal candidate demonstrates careful technique, teamwork and consistent respect for sterile processes
