EcoDebris Recycling is a sustainability-focused manufacturing start-up based in Goa that converts plastic waste into high-quality furniture and design products. Our factory processes waste plastics through shredding, agglomeration, extrusion pelletising and sheet pressing to produce recycled plastic sheets that are CNC-cut into furniture and home products.
Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager from the plastics processing or moulding industry to lead our manufacturing operations. The role requires hands-on experience with polymer processing, plastics machinery and factory floor management.You will oversee the full production cycle—from raw plastic sourcing to finished products—while managing shop floor teams and ensuring effective, safe and high-quality manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Factory Operations
- Manage day-to-day operations of a plastics recycling and manufacturing facility
- Supervise machine operators, technicians, helpers and finishing staff
- Monitor production schedules, machine performance and operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to production targets and quality standards
and material flow
- Troubleshoot issues related to plastics processing and machine operations
- Ensure consistent quality of recycled plastic sheets and finished components
1. Procurement & Raw Material Management
- Manage sourcing and procurement of plastic scrap, pigments, additives and consumables
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and transporters
- Monitor raw material inventory and production requirements
1. Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise factory floor teams
- Train operators on plastics processing equipment and safe handling procedures
- Implement standard operating procedures for production and quality control
1. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations
- Maintain operational documentation and production records
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years experience in plastics processing, plastics moulding or polymer manufacturing
- Experience operating or supervising extrusion lines, moulding equipment or plastics processing machinery
- Strong understanding of polymer materials such as HDPE, LDPE and PP
- Experience managing factory floor teams and production schedules
- Solid troubleshooting and operational management skills
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical / Polymer / Production Engineering preferred
