Job Title: OpenShift & Kubernetes Administrator (SE2)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced OpenShift & Kubernetes Administrator with 810 years of experience in managing enterprise container platforms and infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, along with solid Linux administration, networking, containerization, and automation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deploy, configure, administer, upgrade, and troubleshoot OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
- Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes/OpenShift components including Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress/Routes, Namespaces, RBAC, Operators, and Nodes.
- Perform cluster monitoring, performance tuning, capacity management, and troubleshooting.
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker/Podman and Kubernetes-native technologies.
- Perform Linux administration, patching, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across compute, containers, networking, and storage.
- Work with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, load balancers, ingress, and firewall fundamentals.
- Support persistent storage environments with knowledge of Ceph, SAN, NAS, and Kubernetes storage concepts.
- Develop automation using Ansible and scripting languages such as Bash/Python. • Support DevOps and CI/CD teams with Kubernetes/OpenShift platform requirements.

- Manage user access, RBAC, security policies, certificates, and platform configurations.
- Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, cluster upgrades, and infrastructure optimization.

- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Required Skills:





- 7 to 10 years of overall IT infrastructure/platform experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes Mandatory.

- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Mandatory.
- Strong Linux Administration skills, preferably RHEL.
- Good understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift architecture and troubleshooting.

- Experience with containers and Docker/Podman.
- Valuable understanding of networking fundamentals and container networking.
- Basic knowledge of Ceph / SAN / NAS / persistent storage.

- Hands-on experience with Ansible and scripting Bash/Python.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux, networking, and infrastructure environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience managing production-grade OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters.
- Exposure to OpenShift Operators, OLM, Routes, Ingress, RBAC, Security Context Constraints, and cluster upgrades.

- Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, Helm, and container registries.
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure and automation environments.

- Knowledge of high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and platform security.
- Relevant Red Hat/OpenShift/Kubernetes/Linux certifications are an added advantage.
