Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain synthetic monitors for web applications and web services.
Create dashboards, alerts, and reporting solutions using observability and monitoring platforms.
Develop Splunk searches, dashboards, and alerts using SPL.
Configure and maintain infrastructure and application monitoring detectors and alerting rules.
Work with application development teams to gather requirements and implement monitoring solutions that meet business and technical needs.
Ensure alerts are properly integrated with dashboards, ServiceNow incidents, and notification platforms.
Troubleshoot issues within the observability ecosystem and supporting integrations.
Participate in application reviews to validate compliance with company observability standards.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in observability, monitoring, site reliability engineering (SRE), production support, or related operational roles.
Experience with monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace,
AppDynamics, Current Relic, or similar tools.
Experience creating and maintaining monitoring, alerting, and dashboard solutions.
Proficiency with JavaScript.
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and HTTP communications.
Experience working with development teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL).
Experience with Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, Splunk Observability, ITSI, Rigor, or related Splunk products.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Familiarity with IT service management and incident management platforms such as ServiceNow.
