Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network SME with 10-20 years of expertise in Telecom OSS/NMS platforms, Transport Networks, IP/MPLS technologies, network automation, FTTx and operational transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a technical leader responsible for the design, support, integration, automation, and optimization of multi-vendor network management systems and telecom infrastructure environments.

The role requires strong domain knowledge in Transport, Microwave, and IP/MPLS networks along with hands-on expertise in OSS/NMS platforms, API integrations, service orchestration, network inventory management, and DevOps-based automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations & SME Leadership

- Serve as the technical SME for Transport, Microwave, and IP/MPLS network domains.
- Provide L3/L4 support expertise for critical network incidents, escalations, and service-impacting issues.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex network problems.
- Drive operational excellence through proactive monitoring, performance analysis, and optimization initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance to operations, engineering, architecture, and deployment teams.

OSS/NMS Platform Management
- Manage and support OSS/NMS platforms including:

- Fujitsu Virtuora VXM

- Xakta

- Blue Planet MDOI

- TeMIP

- Mycom
- HP Operations Orchestration (HP-OO)

- HP Service Manager (HPSM)

- HP Network Automation (HPNA)
- Ensure platform availability, performance, and service continuity.
- Support fault, performance, configuration, inventory, and service management functions.
- Coordinate upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management activities.

OSS Integration & Service Orchestration
- Design and support OSS/NMS integrations using:

- REST APIs

- Northbound Interfaces (NBI)

- Southbound Interfaces (SBI)

- Service Models

- Inventory Federation
- Work closely with architecture and development teams to implement scalable integration solutions.
- Resolve data synchronization, inventory reconciliation, and service provisioning issues.




- Support end-to-end service orchestration and automation initiatives.

Network Automation & DevOps
- Drive network automation programs leveraging up-to-date DevOps practices.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.
- Manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes.
- Automate operational workflows and testing processes using Playwright and scripting frameworks.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Network Automation best practices.
- Promote Agile and DevOps methodologies across network operations teams.

Telecom Network Expertise
- Provide deep technical support in:

- Transport Networks

- Microwave Networks

- IP/MPLS Networks
- Troubleshoot routing, switching, and service delivery issues involving:

- BGP
- IS-IS

- OSPF

- BFD

- LACP

- QoS
- Analyze network faults, congestion, latency, packet loss, and routing instability issues.
- Participate in capacity planning, performance management, and network optimization programs.

Cloud & Infrastructure Operations
- Support OSS applications hosted on Linux and AWS environments.
- Monitor infrastructure health, server utilization, and application performance.
- Work with cloud and infrastructure teams for deployment, scaling, and disaster recovery activities.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational standards.

Stakeholder Management
- Act as a bridge between Operations, Engineering, Development, Architecture, and Vendor teams.
- Participate in customer discussions, technical reviews, and executive management presentations.
- Mentor engineers and build technical capabilities across support teams.
- Lead major incident calls and technical governance forums.

Reporting & Service Improvement
- Prepare executive dashboards, operational metrics, RCA reports, and service improvement plans.




- Identify recurring issues and drive automation-led resolutions.
- Analyze ticket trends, SLA adherence, and operational KPIs.
- Recommend technology enhancements and process improvements.

- Exposure to SDN, NFV, Network Orchestration, and Intent-Based Networking.
