Role & responsibilities

- Strong experience in MySQL Database Administration (MySQL 5.7/8.0).

- Hands-on experience with AWS RDS for MySQL and Amazon Aurora MySQL.

- Experience in production support, incident management, and troubleshooting.

- Valuable understanding of Aurora architecture, Multi-AZ, Read Replicas, Failover, and High Availability.

- Expertise in MySQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and replication.

- Experience with backup, recovery, snapshots, and point-in-time recovery (PITR).

- Knowledge of AWS monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and Performance Insights.

- Experience with MySQL upgrades, patching, and migration activities.

- Strong understanding of database security, user management, and access controls.

- Linux administration and Shell scripting knowledge.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with MySQL Group Replication, InnoDB Cluster, ProxySQL, or MySQL Router.

- Experience with ServiceNow and enterprise production support environments.
