Job Title: Mining Engineer

Department: Land, Mines & Geology

Summary

Responsible for supervising mining operations with focus on safe and efficient mine production, drilling & blasting, manpower and machinery management, and statutory compliance. The role will support achievement of production targets while maintaining safety standards at the mine site.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day mining operations in accordance with Rule 45 of MMR, 1961 and applicable statutory requirements.
- Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with manpower and machinery safety requirements.
- Plan and monitor mining activities to achieve daily production targets.
- Supervise drilling and blasting operations for protected and efficient mining.
- Monitor deployment and utilization of manpower and mining machinery.
- Conduct regular mine-site inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
- Maintain TBT and promote safety awareness among workmen and contractors.
- Coordinate with mining contractors,



supervisors and other departments for smooth operations.
- Maintain production, safety and other required operational records and reports.

Qualification B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mining Engineering with a valid Second Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency under MMR, 1961.

Experience

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Open Cast Mining, preferably in Cement / Limestone Mining.
