Role Overview:-

We are seeking a highly skilled Level 4 Exchange Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Team Lead with extensive experience in Exchange Online, Exchange On-Premises, and Microsoft 365 migration and transformation projects. The candidate will be responsible for leading the design, planning, execution, and support of enterprise messaging solutions while driving large-scale Microsoft 365 transition initiatives.

The ideal candidate should possess deep technical expertise in Exchange environments, strong architecture capabilities, leadership experience, and the ability to engage with business stakeholders, project teams, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:-

Technical Leadership:- Serve as the highest technical escalation point (L4) for Exchange and Messaging services.

Lead Exchange Online and Exchange On-Premises architecture, implementation, migration, and operational support.

Define messaging strategy, roadmap, and best practices for Microsoft 365 adoption.

Provide technical governance and oversight for enterprise messaging platforms.

Lead root cause analysis and resolution of critical incidents and complex technical issues.

Microsoft 365 Transformation:-

Lead end-to-end migration from Exchange On-Premises to Exchange Online.

Design and execute Hybrid Exchange deployments.

Assess current-state infrastructure and develop migration strategies.

Drive mailbox migrations, coexistence planning, and decommissioning activities.

Support adoption of Microsoft 365 collaboration and security services.

Operations & Service Management:-

Own messaging platform availability, reliability, and performance.

Define operational standards, monitoring, automation, and capacity planning.

Manage production support activities and major incident management.

Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.





Develop operational runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles.

Team Leadership:-

Lead and mentor a team of Exchange engineers and administrators.

Conduct technical reviews and solution validations.

Manage workload allocation and technical escalations.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and automation opportunities.

Support training, performance management, and technical upskilling.

Stakeholder Management:-

Engage with project managers, architects, security teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Present technical recommendations to leadership teams.

Coordinate with Microsoft support and third-party vendors for critical escalations.

Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and project reporting.

8-10 years in Microsoft Messaging technologies.





8+ years managing Exchange Online /On-premise /Hybrid environments.

Proven experience leading enterprise Microsoft 365 migration projects.

Experience managing environments with 15,000+ mailboxes preferred.

Experience working in global enterprise environments.

Strong incident, problem, and change management experience.

Experience coordinating cross-functional migration programs.

Preferred Certifications:-

Microsoft Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate

Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

Microsoft Security Certifications (Preferred)

ITIL Foundation / Intermediate

Soft Skills:-

Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Executive-level communication and presentation abilities.

Excellent stakeholder management skills.

Robust analytical and troubleshooting expertise.

Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents and migration events.
