Key Job Responsibilities

- Transcribe radiology reports from audio dictation into written reports.

- Accurately document findings from X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, and other imaging studies.

- Maintain correct medical terminology, anatomy, abbreviations, medications, and diagnostic terms.

- Proofread and edit reports for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and accuracy without changing the radiologists meaning.

- Follow prescribed radiology report formats and templates.

- Verify patient identifiers and examination details before finalizing reports.

- Identify unclear or incomplete dictation and clarify it with the radiologist when required.

- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and data privacy.

- Complete reports within required turnaround times (TAT).

- Use EMR/RIS/PACS and transcription software as required.

- Perform quality checks to minimize transcription errors.

- Follow hospital/company quality, compliance, and documentation standards.
