Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Material Requirement planning for various suppliers in consultation with materials manager and based on schedule from customer and supplier constraints.
- Actively participate with other material chasers in creating schedules of parts of Direct Materials. Need to drive on daily basis for the review of the customer schedules / vis--vis supplier deliveries and making suitable corrections on ongoing basis.
- Close interaction with suppliers for procurement of parts as per requirement.
- Ensures timely delivery of materials at the plants as per schedule.
- Monitors and assesses supplier delivery and quality performance and advises management of recent developments.
- Monitoring material flow from suppliers for on time line feeding of parts with no down time.
- Inventory management and adjustments based on production variations / customer fluctuations.
- Logistics Management for supply of parts from suppliers.
- Thorough knowledge of stores process like Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Management.
- Knowledge of PFEP for bought out parts, thorough understanding of value stream.




- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes (Casting, Forging, Press parts, Assembly, etc.,)
- Knowledge of various taxations (GST, E- Way bill)
- Hands on knowledge of oracle R12 MRP system.
- Follow up of and maintaining of record for subcontract Job work challan (OSP) and timely closure for same with suppliers.
- Develops and maintains cordial supplier relationship.
- Follow up on rejected or defective material if any clearance with suppliers.
- Adheres to procurement policies and procedures.
- Coordinating between K Drive team members and suppliers for quality, delivery, service, and pricing issues.
- Generate ideas for cost reductions and implement the same as per agreed timeline
