Role Objective

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join the ME-Die Back Office Design Support team.

Responsibilities

- Interact with stakeholders regarding tasks, requirements, and clarifications.

- Estimate the work received from stakeholders and align deliverables with the committed timelines.

- Prepare 3D models and 2D drawings in accordance with TE standards.

- Manage work hours and maintain accurate records of tasks and deliverables.

- Handle basic stamping design and stamping process related activities.

- Demonstrate a proactive approach and apply lateral thinking to solve problems and improve processes.

Education/Knowledge

- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering

- Post Diploma in Tool design

- Diploma in Tool making

Competencies and Experience Required

- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.

- Proficient with CAD software 3D modelling, 2D drafting, and assembly.

- Proficient with MS Office tools.

- Knowledge of basic stamping design and stamping processes.

- Basic knowledge in manufacturing processes.

- Good communication skills for stakeholder interaction; proactive and capable of lateral thinking.

Job Requirements

- Assisting in optimization and standardization of stamping, modeling, assembly, and other processes within the manufacturing environment.

- Supporting senior engineers in ensuring processes are running at an optimum level for maximizing quality and output levels.

- Helping design and develop manufacturing process platforms and automation platforms

- Helping identify potential improvement areas and develop associated solutions to continually improve overall manufacturing system performance.

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field or local equivalent.
