We are looking for an experienced Manual Test Engineer with a strong background in the Insurance domain, preferably with hands-on experience in Claims or Billing applications. The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, validating business requirements, and ensuring the quality and reliability of insurance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to understand testing requirements.
- Prepare Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Data, and Test Execution Reports.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, and End-to-End Testing.
- Test insurance applications related to Claims Processing or Billing.
- Validate complete business workflows from transaction initiation through final processing.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect-tracking tools.
- Perform defect retesting and regression testing after fixes.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other QA team members to resolve issues.
- Participate in requirement review, test planning, defect triage, and release activities.
- Ensure adequate test coverage and maintain testing documentation.
- Support UAT and production validation activities when required.
- Identify gaps in requirements and provide inputs to improve application quality.
- Prepare daily/weekly testing status reports and communicate risks, issues, and dependencies.

Required Skills

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Manual Testing.
- Strong experience in the Insurance domain.




- Hands-on experience in either Insurance Claims or Billing applications is mandatory/preferred.
- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and defect life cycle.
- Experience in preparing and executing detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Good knowledge of Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.
- Experience working with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar test/defect management tools.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Insurance Domain Knowledge Candidates should have good understanding of insurance processes, preferably including:

Claims:

- Claim registration/intimation
- Claim validation and processing
- Claim assessment
- Claim approval/rejection
- Claim settlement
- Claim status and payment processing

Billing:

- Premium calculation
- Invoice generation
- Payments and adjustments
- Billing transactions
- Refunds and cancellations
- Policy-related billing workflows

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum setting.
- Experience testing web-based insurance applications.
- Knowledge of SQL/database validation is an added advantage.
- Exposure to API testing using tools such as Postman is a plus.
