Roles and Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases, ensuring thorough coverage of software features.
- Execute test procedures and automated suites, collaborating with automation developers.
- Translate business requirements into test strategies and traceable activities.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and development teams to create Test Plans.
- Contribute ideas for applying Generative AI tools to improve testing efficiency and test case design.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with QA, DevOps, and development teams.
- Adhere to Agile processes and QA best practices for high-quality releases.
- Conduct testing activities such as Acceptance, Regression, Functional, Integration and Performance testing.
- Perform problem identification, root cause analysis, and resolution documentation with trace-level logs.
- Identify testing dependencies and risks, planning end-to-end system cycles.
- Engage in design discussions to offer insights on testability and quality.

Required

- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Systems, Electrical or similar) with exposure to IT / Programming topics.
- 5 years of manual testing experience.
- Hands-on experience manually testing a physical embedded device end-to-end, with substantial (not incidental) time spent on hardware — not purely software/UI/API testing at a desk. Comfortable with physical setup, cabling, power, and verifying real hardware behavior (not just reading logs or clicking through a UI).




- Experience with a test-case management system (e.g., TestRay, Zephyr, TestRail, Xray, or similar).

Preferred / Desired

- Experience with embedded Linux devices specifically (Yocto, Fedora, or similar) rather than Windows/RTOS/bare-metal hardware.
- Experience validating a device through both a desktop application and a browser-based interface, not just one.
- Prior exposure to cameras, scanners, sensors, or similar vision/imaging hardware.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, GitHub, or Git repositories.
