We are looking for an experienced Manual Lathe Turner / Machinist to join our engineering job-work workshop in Padi, Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for operating conventional/manual lathe machines and producing engineering components as per customer requirements and drawings.

Responsibilities

- Operate conventional/manual lathe machines safely and efficiently.

- Read and understand basic engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Perform turning, facing, threading, boring, drilling and related machining operations.
- Take accurate measurements using vernier calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain required dimensions, tolerances and surface finish.
- Handle different types of machining jobs and materials.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and basic day-to-day care.




- Complete jobs according to required quality and delivery schedules.

Requirements

- Experience as a Manual Turner / Lathe Operator / Machinist preferred.
- ITI Turner or Machinist qualification is an advantage.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings and measuring instruments preferred.
- Ability to work independently and maintain positive quality.
- Experienced candidates are preferred; suitable ITI freshers with a willingness to learn may also be considered.

Location: Padi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Salary based on experience and skill.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
