Role – Manager / Senior Manager – CPC Outreach
Location: Mumbai The Manager / Senior Manager – CPC Outreach is responsible for driving corporate engagement and building a robust pipeline of industry partners for internship and placement opportunities at Plaksha. Based in Mumbai, this role serves as the primary interface between Plaksha’s Office of Corporate Partnerships & Careers (CPC) and the corporate ecosystem, with a focus on establishing long-term, mutually value-adding relationships with leading organizations. The incumbent works closely with the Head – CPC, internal stakeholders including faculty and students, to align industry engagement with Plaksha’s mission of producing future-ready, industry-relevant talent.
Corporate Outreach & Pipeline Development:
- Identify, approach, and onboard new corporate partners for internships, placements, and broader engagement with Plaksha’s student community.
- Build and manage a structured funnel of leads by mapping target companies, researching hiring needs, and executing a systematic outreach strategy in coordination with the Head – CPC.
- Pitch Plaksha’s talent proposition to senior industry leaders including CHROs, CTOs, COOs, and Business Heads, and independently front-end these high-stakes conversations.
Relationship Management & Partner Engagement:
- Develop and deepen relationships with strategic corporate partners with the primary objective of securing firm, repeatable hiring commitments for Plaksha students.
- Act as the key point of contact for partner companies, ensuring timely responses, proactive updates on student profiles, and seamless coordination during hiring cycles.
- Enhance partner experience by creating year-round touchpoints – company visits, leadership talks, live projects,
and co-branded events – beyond just the placement season.
- Maintain a structured CRM of partner interactions, commitments, and engagement history.
- Conceptualize and organize events, industry conclaves, and networking forums that bring together senior leaders and the Plaksha community.
- Leverage events as a platform to deepen existing partnerships and generate new leads for the CPC pipeline.
- Represent Plaksha at external forums, industry associations, and HR conferences to enhance brand visibility in the corporate ecosystem.
Internship & Placement Execution:
- Work with the CPC team to plan and execute the annual placement and internship calendar, ensuring adequate corporate participation across sectors and roles.
- Coordinate with partner companies to gather Job Descriptions, confirm participation timelines, and manage the end-to-end recruitment process on campus.
- Ensure a high quality of roles offered – aligned to Plaksha’s student profiles.
- Oversee the entire placement process, from employer outreach to final offer negotiations, ensuring seamless execution.
- Organize company visits, pre-placement talks, industrial tours, guest lectures, and expert sessions to enhance corporate engagement.
- Work closely with students to provide guidance on career opportunities, resume building, and interview preparation.
- Track offer status, conversion rates, and stipend / CTC data, and maintain accurate placement records for reporting and accreditation purposes.
Brand Positioning & Market Intelligence:
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of industry hiring trends, competitor university placements, and evolving skill demands to sharpen Plaksha’s employer positioning.
- Work closely with the founding community, faculty,
and students to align industry engagement with academic objectives and student career aspirations.
- Collaborate with faculty to develop co-curricular projects, capstone assignments, and live case studies with corporate partners.
- Leverage qualified networks, LinkedIn, and industry databases to generate actionable intelligence on potential partners and role opportunities.
- Provide inputs on Plaksha’s employer branding collateral, student showcase events, and digital outreach to strengthen corporate mindshare.
Education & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields; MBA with specialization in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development is preferred
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in corporate relations, campus placements, B2B sales, talent advisory, or executive search.
- Prior experience in a university placement office or an organization working at the intersection of academia and industry is an advantage.
