Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to oversee the total upkeep of our mechanical engineering factory. In this role, you will be responsible for the continuous operation, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and civil infrastructure. Your primary focus will be managing heavy electrical equipment, including Transformers, Diesel Generator (DG) sets, and Synchronizing panels.

Preference will be given to candidates holding a valid C-License (Electrical Supervisor/Competency Certificate).

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance

Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot high-voltage and low-voltage systems, including Transformers and associated switchgear.

Operate, service, and maintain DG sets to ensure uninterrupted power backup during outages.

Manage, troubleshoot, and calibrate the Synchronizing panel and Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) panels.

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical distribution boards, motors, control panels, and factory lighting.

Mechanical Maintenance

Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance on factory machinery, production equipment, air compressors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Diagnose mechanical faults,



replace worn parts (bearings, belts, gears), and ensure optimal machine calibration.

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.

Civil & Utilities Maintenance

Oversee routine civil maintenance tasks, including minor repairs to factory buildings, flooring, plumbing, drainage, and structural elements.

Maintain utility services such as water supply systems, cooling towers, and ventilation networks.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with statutory electrical safety regulations and factory safety norms.

Maintain accurate logs of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, fuel consumption for DG sets, and equipment history cards.

Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Certification: Valid C-License issued by the electrical licensing board is highly preferred.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or mechanical engineering factory.

Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, PLC logic (basics), and mechanical systems.

Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in shifts, and physical fitness to handle factory floor demands.
