Majesco - Distribution Management (DM) Developer

Experience

5–8 years of experience in insurance technology, with strong hands-on experience in Majesco Distribution Management or similar insurance distribution platforms.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Majesco Distribution Management (DM) Developer to design, develop, configure, integrate, and support solutions for insurance distribution processes. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of insurance distribution, agent/broker management, commissions, hierarchies, appointments, licensing, and integrations, along with hands-on technical expertise in the Majesco ecosystem.

The candidate will work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and configure solutions within Majesco Distribution Management (DM) based on business and functional requirements.

· Customize DM functionality, workflows, business rules, and distribution processes.

· Develop and maintain configurations related to agents, brokers, agencies, producers, hierarchies, appointments, licensing, and commissions.

· Analyze existing configurations and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.

· Troubleshoot application issues and provide root-cause analysis and production support.

Integration Development

· Design and develop integrations between Majesco DM and internal/external systems.

· Work with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, messaging, and other integration mechanisms.

· Support integrations with policy administration, billing, claims, CRM, commission, payment, and third-party systems.

· Analyze interface failures, data issues, and integration performance problems.

Technical Development

· Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.





· Write and optimize SQL queries for troubleshooting, validation, and data analysis.

· Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.

· Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.

· Support deployment activities across development, QA, UAT, and production environments.

Requirements & Collaboration

· Work with Business Analysts and Functional Consultants to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

· Participate in requirement clarification, solution design, estimation, and technical documentation.

· Collaborate with QA teams to resolve defects and support system/integration testing.

· Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.

· Provide technical guidance to junior developers when required.

Required Skills

Majesco / Insurance

· Hands-on experience with Majesco Distribution Management (DM).

· Strong understanding of insurance distribution processes.

· Good knowledge of:

o Producer/Agent/Broker management o Agency management o Producer hierarchies o Appointments and licensing o Commission management o Distribution channels o Producer onboarding o Producer relationships and roles o Distribution-related workflows and business rules

Technical

· Strong programming and application-development experience.

· Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and web services.

· Strong SQL/database skills.





· Experience with XML/JSON and data transformation.

· Understanding of enterprise application integration patterns.

· Experience with Git or other source-control tools.

· Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices is preferred.

· Knowledge of cloud technologies is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with P&C; insurance and/or Life & Annuity insurance.

· Experience integrating Majesco DM with other Majesco products or third-party insurance applications.

· Experience in commission calculation and producer compensation processes.

· Experience with high-volume enterprise integrations.

· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
