Position Summary

GreenA is seeking a LEED Commissioning Agent (CxA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the commissioning process for industrial and commercial, projects. This role requires deep expertise in LEED v4/v4.1 Fundamental and Enhanced

Commissioning, with a specialized focus and proven track record in Building Envelope

Commissioning (BECx).

You will work closely with owners, architects, and contractors from the pre-design phase through post-occupancy to ensure that building systems and enclosure assemblies operate efficiently and meet the Owner's Project Requirements (OPR).

Key Responsibilities

Enhanced Commissioning (HVAC & MEP Systems)

 Lead the Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning process in accordance with

LEED v4/v4.1 requirements and ASHRAE Guideline 0.

 Review the Owner's Project Requirements (OPR) and Basis of Design (BOD) for clarity and completeness.

 Perform comprehensive design reviews of MEP drawings and specifications at various design phases (e.g., 50% DD, 90% CD).

 Develop project-specific Commissioning Plans, functional testing procedures, and commissioning specifications.

 Conduct site visits to verify installation, perform Functional Performance Testing

(FPT), and log deficiencies in an issues resolution matrix.

 Oversee the development of the Systems Manual and verify that proper facilities operations and maintenance training is conducted.

 Conduct 10-month post-occupancy warranty reviews.

Building Envelope Commissioning (BECx)

 Lead the BECx process in alignment with NIBS Guideline 3, ASHRAE Guideline 0,

and ASTM E2947.

 Perform rigorous design reviews of architectural plans, focusing on the continuity of the building enclosure (air, water, thermal, and vapor barriers).

 Review building envelope submittals, shop drawings, and mock-up designs.

 Direct and witness on-site and laboratory mock-up testing (e.g., ASTM E1105 for water penetration, ASTM E783/E779 for air leakage).





 Conduct regular field inspections of the building exterior during construction to ensure details are executed according to the design intent.

 Document envelope deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and verify successful remediation.

Project Management & Communication

 Lead and facilitate regular commissioning meetings with the project team (architects,

MEP engineers, general contractors, and sub-contractors).

 Manage multiple commissioning projects simultaneously while maintaining strict adherence to project schedules and budgets.

 Write clear, concise, and comprehensive final commissioning reports for both MEP and envelope systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture,

Construction Management, or a related field.

 Energy model experience preferably

 Minimum of 5+ years of direct experience acting as the lead Commissioning

Authority (CxA) on commercial projects.

 Demonstrated experience managing LEED Enhanced Commissioning and

Building Envelope Commissioning (BECx) on successfully certified projects.

Certifications (Required):

 LEED AP with specialty (BD+C preferred).

 At least one recognized Commissioning Certification, such as:

Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) via BCxA o Building Commissioning Qualified (BCxP) via ASHRAE o Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) via AEE

 Highly Preferred: Envelope-specific certification such as BECxP (Building Enclosure

Commissioning Process Provider) or CxA+BE.

Technical Skills:

Understanding of building physics, thermodynamics, and moisture mitigation strategies.

 Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, lighting controls, domestic hot water systems,

and renewable energy systems.

 Familiarity with industry testing standards (AAMA, ASTM, ASHRAE, NIBS).

 Ability to read and interpret complex architectural details, MEP drawings, and control schematics.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
