What awaits you/ Job Profile

- Lead the development and integration of Mechanism Systems for BMW/MINI vehicle programs.
- Drive mechanism concepts from development through industrialization and series release.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders across the product development lifecycle.
- Drive technical discussions, issue resolution, and delivery of robust engineering solutions.
- Ensure achievement of quality, cost, timing, and functional targets.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical excellence within the team.
- Work within BMW Group development processes, methodologies, and engineering standards.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of the MINI Revo program.

What should you bring along

- 15+ years of experience in Automotive Product Development with focus on Mechanism Systems.
- Strong ownership mindset with ability to proactively drive technical topics to closure.
- Proven experience in cross-functional stakeholder management and supplier steering.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Solution-oriented and customer-focused approach to engineering challenges.
- Good understanding of OEM product development milestones and supplier development timelines.
- Passion for automotive engineering, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience working in a global matrix organization.




- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or related field.
- Very good English communication skills; German is an advantage.

Must have technical skill

- Strong proficiency in CATIA V5 and mechanism packaging.
- Extensive experience in automotive mechanism development and system integration.
- Deep understanding of latches, hinges, check arms, glass systems, regulators, seals, and related interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of kinematics, functional requirements, and mechanism performance.
- Experience in package studies, feasibility investigations, and packaging optimization.
- Positive understanding of OEM development processes, release management, and engineering gateways.
- Experience in DFMEA, tolerance analysis, validation planning, and problem resolution.
- Capability to perform engineering calculations for door mechanism aggregates and functional assessments.
- Proven experience in supplier management, technical reviews, and component maturity tracking.
- Ability to define, evaluate, and implement technical countermeasures.

Good to have Technical skills

- Experience with BMW vehicle programs or global OEM projects.
- Benchmarking experience and ability to derive competitive engineering solutions.
- Exposure to virtual validation and simulation methodologies.
- Knowledge of PLM/PDM tools and engineering data management processes.
- Understanding of DFM/DFA and cost optimization approaches.
- Exposure to lightweight design and advanced automotive materials.
- Experience in standardization, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of electromechanical systems and actuator integration.
