Role: Laboratory Technician and Instructor The Laboratory Technician and Instructor will support the establishment, operation, and maintenance of the Electronic Garage facility. The role involves handling advanced electronic instrumentation, assisting in laboratory experiments, ensuring proper functioning of equipment, and supporting students and researchers in prototyping, testing, and measurement activities. The candidate is expected to have hands-on expertise in electronic systems and instrumentation, aligned with the laboratory infrastructure.

In addition, the candidate will undertake any other tasks related to the Electronic Garage and associated research problems as assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI).

Equipment Management and Maintenance

- Installation, calibration, operation, and maintenance of laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, function generators, LCR meters,



source measure units, and probe stations.
- Ensure proper usage, safety compliance (including ESD protocols), and upkeep of all Electronic Garage equipment.
- Maintain inventory, documentation, and servicing records of instruments.

Technical Support and Prototyping

- Provide technical support to students and researchers for circuit design, PCB prototyping, soldering/desoldering, and testing activities.
- Assist in setting up experimental demonstrations and advanced electrical/impedance/temperature-dependent measurements.

Teaching and Laboratory Instruction

- Assist in conducting tutorials, assignments, and laboratory sessions as assigned by the PI.
- Support students in understanding and operating electronic test and measurement instruments.

Who are we looking for?

- B.Tech / M.Sc. in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or allied disciplines.
- Prior hands-on experience in handling electronic test and measurement instruments.
- Strong practical knowledge of electronic instrumentation (oscilloscope, power supplies, multimeters, LCR meters, SMU, etc.).
- Experience in PCB design, soldering/desoldering, and troubleshooting electronic circuits.
- Experience in laboratory environments involving circuit design, testing, and prototyping.
- Familiarity with advanced systems such as probe stations, impedance analyzers, and lock-in amplifiers is desirable.
- Basic programming/interface knowledge (LabVIEW/Python/embedded systems) is an added advantage.
- Valuable communication, organizational and documentation skills.
