L3 Technical Engineer - Aruba ClearPass NAC (Banking Network)

This role has been designed as Onsite with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner/customer office.

Senior-level, pure technical role for Aruba ClearPass NAC - Responsible for design,

operations, and L3 troubleshooting of NAC in banking environments - Focus on network security, endpoint posture, certificates, and switch-based access control

What you ll do:

Design, deploy, and operate Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM) - Architect and support HA / DR ClearPass clusters - Configure services, authentication sources,

authorization and enforcement policies - Perform deep troubleshooting using Access

Tracker, Event Viewer, and system logs

Authentication Access Control

- Implement and troubleshoot: - 802.1X (wired wireless) - EAP-TLS, PEAP, EAP-TTLS - MAC Authentication Bypass (MAB) - Hands-on experience with RADIUS, TACACS+, and

CoA (RFC 3576) - Design role-based and identity-based access policies

Switch Network Integration

- Integrate NAC with access switches (Aruba / Cisco / Juniper) - Configure: - Agile VLAN assignment - Downloadable User Roles (DUR) - Troubleshoot switch-side issues such as re-auth loops and fail-open/fail-close scenarios

Endpoint Security Posture

- Configure and support ClearPass OnGuard posture checks - Validate endpoint compliance: - Antivirus / EDR (Trellix, Defender, CrowdStrike, etc.) - OS patching, firewall, disk encryption - Design quarantine and remediation workflows - Support servers, core banking systems, ATMs, kiosks, and IoT devices

Certificate Identity Integration

- Implement certificate-based authentication (EAP-TLS) - Integrate with Microsoft AD,

LDAP, and AD CS (PKI) - Troubleshoot certificate lifecycle issues (expiry, trust chain,

CRL/OCSP)

Operations Integrations

- Act as L3 escalation point for NAC incidents - Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for authentication and posture issues - Integrate ClearPass with SIEM (Splunk/QRadar) and ITSM tools (BMC/ServiceNow) - Plan and execute ClearPass upgrades and patching

Mandatory Technical Skills





- Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager - Expert level - NAC technologies: 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, CoA - Switch-based NAC enforcement - Endpoint posture (OnGuard)Certificate-based authentication (EAP-TLS) - Windows AD, LDAP, DNS, NTP - Strong troubleshooting and log analysis skills

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

- Banking / BFSI environment exposure - SIEM / SOC integration experience - REST API usage and automation - SD-WAN, VPN, or remote-access NAC integration.

What you need to bring:

Experience Qualification

- 6-10+ years in Network Security / NAC - 4+ years hands-on Aruba ClearPass experience - Aruba certifications (ACSA / ACSP / ACCP) - preferred Role Type

- Individual Contributor (L3 - Technical) - High-availability, production banking environment.
