Position Purpose:

As an OpenStack Engineer, you will manage and contribute on OpenStack based cloud infrastructure evolution.

You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing and optimizing cloud platforms, while ensuring the stability and performance of production environments.

The infrastructure provides high availability environments to ensure applications availability.

Due to large number of assets to manage, it is a key requirement to be able to build and manage scripts to automatize operations.

Vulnerability and obsolescence remediation, proactive improvements and action plan for incidents are part of the day to day of this position.

To work following ITIL methodology is part of the daily basis in this and the rest of IT areas.

The team operates in a Follow-the-Sun (FTS) model, with members distributed globally across Canada, the USA, Brazil, France, Spain, India, Hong Kong, and Singapore. As a member of this team, you will be expected to provide seamless global support during your local time zone.

Responsibilities

Essential:

· OpenStack Server Administration

· Good knowledge of Linux (Red Hat, Suse, Ubuntu...) and some notions on Windows operating systems.

· Skill in virtualization (KVM) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

· Knowledge on Server Networking

· Openstack Core services Nova, Cinder, Neutron(OVN & OVS), Glance, Keystone as well as knowledge on RabbitMQ

· Physical Server maintenance on DELL or HP servers

· Scripting Skills such as Ansible, Python & Shell Scripting

· Customer service-oriented skills.

Desirable:

· Ceph & NetApp Storage Management

· Ansible Tower

· Kolla-ansible

· Code version control (Git, Bitbucket…)

· Experience with other hypervisors (VMware, Nutanix)

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Experience Level: At least 5 - 7 Years

Certifications: Red Hat Certified Specialist in Cloud Infrastructure, OpenStack Foundation
