Job Overview:

Electrica Engineers Pvt Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer New Product Development (NPD) QA for the Quality Department. This role plays a critical part in supporting the development and launch of current automotive components, ensuring alignment with customer specifications, internal quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

As a Junior Engineer, you will be actively involved in layout inspections, APQP and PPAP documentation, and validation processes. This position offers excellent growth opportunities for individuals looking to build a career in the automotive quality and product development domain.

Key Responsibilities:

- Layout Inspection: Conduct layout inspections as per engineering drawings and report results to cross-functional teams (CFT).
- Instrumentation Proficiency: Operate and handle measurement tools like Vernier Calliper, Height Gauge, Radius Gauge, Micrometre, and VMM with accuracy.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers during NPD part trials and approvals, addressing quality-related queries.
- APQP Support: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) documents.
- PPAP Documentation: Contribute to the creation and submission of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) files.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with design, program management, and manufacturing teams to embed quality at the initial product stages.
- Validation Support: Coordinate with the CMM lab for dimensional and performance validation activities.
- Issue Resolution: Work with cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Purchase) to address and resolve quality issues.




- Documentation and Communication: Support clear documentation and communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders including customers and suppliers.

Preferred Education Qualifications:

- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Work Experience:

- Experience Required: 1 to 2 years in layout inspection of plastic moulding parts, and handling PPAP documentation

Capabilities & Desired Characteristics:

Capabilities:

- Basic knowledge of mechanical/product engineering principles
- Familiarity with materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering tolerances
- Understanding of quality systems and tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA
- Working knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Hands-on experience with measurement tools and layout inspection
- Ability to work collaboratively with Design, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams
- Exposure to customer communication in a quality or product development setting
