About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants to build a strong foundation in day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting entries, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance

- Perform bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations on a regular basis

- Prepare and post month-end accruals and adjusting entries

- Support the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

- Conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and flag discrepancies

- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed





- Maintain accurate documentation and supporting schedules for audits

- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting queries

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field

- 0 to 2 years of relevant accounting/finance experience (freshers with strong fundamentals welcome)

- Working knowledge of accounting principles (IGAAP/Ind AS as applicable)

- Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with Zoho books is a plus

- Robust attention to detail and accuracy
