: Junior Professional Inventory Controller

Junior Professional Inventory Controller:

The Inventory Controller is responsible for overseeing all inventory control activities to minimize stockholding costs while maximizing component availability and data accuracy. The successful candidate will manage inbound raw materials (e.g., metals, plastics, pins), work-in-progress (WIP) elements, and finished connector assemblies, ensuring seamless synchronization between physical stock and the ERP system.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Stock Auditing & Reconciliation:

Conduct routine physical stock counts, cyclical audits, and perpetual inventory checks. Reconcile physical warehouse findings against the ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or customized MRP software).

· Variance Investigation:

Identify, report, and troubleshoot any discrepancies, stock shortages, surpluses, damaged, or slow-moving items.

· Material issue control to shopfloor based on the production order or work order requirement and ensure workorder reconciliation.

· Material Flow Control:

Monitor logistics processes including inbound vendor shipments, raw material issuance to the production floor, inter-branch transfers, and finished good dispatch.

· Optimizing Reorder Points:

Collaborate with procurement and planning teams to establish optimum minimum/maximum stock levels and reorder thresholds, preventing material bottlenecks or costly overstocking.

· Obsolete Stock Management:

Identify and flag redundant, slow-moving, or obsolete electronic parts to clear up working capital and physical space.

· Reporting:

Generate detailed analytics on inventory health, warehouse space utilization, order patterns, turn rates, and financial asset reporting for the Operations Manager.

· Review of material Planning accuracy based on the production plan/forecast released by the planning team.





· Total Spend review of Freight charges for the Import and Export other than EXW.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline.

· Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven experience as an inventory controller, store in-charge, or warehouse executive, preferably in an electronics manufacturing, automotive component, or heavy industrial environment.

· Proficient hands-on experience using industrial MRP / ERP /QAD systems.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) for data analysis.

· Familiarity with inventory tracking tools (barcode/RFID scanners).

· Core Competencies: Robust mathematical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. High attention to detail with an ability to function smoothly in a fast-paced manufacturing workplace.

· Language: Strong communication skills in English and Malayalam to align efficiently with local warehouse operators and global corporate managers.

· Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive, electrical, electronics, connectors, cables, or engineering products.

· Strong knowledge of Inventory management and material planning.

Ideal Candidate

Candidates from automotive components, electrical/electronics, connectors, cable assemblies, engineering manufacturing, or other large scale manufacturing industries will be preferred. The candidate should have strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience managing Inventory in a manufacturing environment.
