CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Full Stack Engineer to join our Digital Capital team. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling applications that harness the power of generative AI that easily integrates into the fabric of our business.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working across the tech stack, from backend systems and APIs to frontend user interfaces, ensuring a seamless integration of AI models into production ready systems. The candidate will need to demonstrate he or she has a strong technical background, is curious, and has exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities include:

•Build scalable web and cloud-based applications integrating generative AI models.

•Build and maintain a robust agentic architecture, APIs, and microservices using technologies such as Python.

•Develop user friendly, responsive user interfaces using technologies such React.

•Design and maintain Azure based infrastructure for hosting and scaling AI solutions.

•Monitor and improve system performance.

•Implement best practices for secure and scalable application design, data storage, and API handling.

•Work closely with cross-functional team members, including Product Owners, Scrum Master, Lead Data Architect, UI/UX, and Application Owners to ensure the end-to-end delivery of user stories.

•Participate in Scrum ceremonies and actively maintain your cards on the scrum board.

•Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and processes.

Skills and Abilities

•Proficient in backend development using Python.

•Strong experience with frontend frameworks using React.

•Hands-on knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Foundry, Functions, Blob, and container tools such as Azure Kubernetes.





•Build and manage data pipelines ensuring high-quality data is available for AI model training and deployment.

•Experience working with structured and unstructured data that span across SQL databases and NoSQL databases such as CosmosDB.

•Proficient with API development and management.

•Experience building and working with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like GIT.

- Experience developing and delivering event driven architectures.
- Experience in using and implementing open-source large language models such as Llama,

Mistral, GPT, and assorted embedding models
- Experience doing prompt engineering.
- Experience working with agile delivery methodologies and working in an agile delivery team.
- Curious. Stays abreast of current and upcoming technologies and tools.

Nice to have skills

- Working knowledge of Azure Cloud services like AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) , ACA

(Azure Container Apps) and Function Apps
- Good understanding of RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) roles in Azure
- Experience in deploying CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines
- Deploying the Apps using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in Azure .

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Develops agile, scalable web applications, working on both front-end and back-end components.
- Implements responsive designs using frameworks and builds server-side logic with technologies.
- Integrates APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and ensures seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- Applies established development practices to deliver high-quality code.
- Designs and develops complex Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).




- Builds and maintains internal APIs for seamless interaction between front-end and back-end systems.
- Integrates third-party Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to enhance application features and functionality.
- Works with the team to optimize API performance, ensuring smooth data transfer and robust communication between systems.
- Develops and executes test plans, including both manual and automated tests to ensure the quality and performance of web applications.
- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves moderate to complex bugs or issues in both front-end and back-end systems.
- Utilizes testing frameworks and debugging tools to streamline the testing process and improve the overall quality of the application.
- Works closely with the team to ensure that all features meet the required specifications and functionality.
- Uses version control systems for branching, committing, and resolving merge conflicts.
- Participates in code reviews and collaborates with other team members to ensure consistent and organized development.
- Identifies and suggests version control best practices and contributes to improving the overall workflow, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in the codebase.
- Deploys web applications, ensuring that they are correctly pushed to production.
- Works with cloud platforms to ensure scalability and availability.
- Troubleshoots deployment issues and optimizes processes to improve speed and reliability.
- Monitors application performance post-deployment, addressing issues as needed.
- Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 3 years of related experience. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
