INSTRUMENT DESIGNER –

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Instrument Designer to prepare detailed instrumentation drawings, layouts, and technical documentation for industrial and EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare instrumentation design and engineering drawings as per project requirements.
- Develop Instrumentation Layouts, Hook-up Drawings, Loop Diagrams, and Cable Routing Drawings.
- Prepare Instrument Location Plans and Instrumentation Installation Drawings.
- Prepare Instrument Cable Schedules, Junction Box (JB) layouts, and termination drawings.
- Prepare and update Instrument Index and related engineering documents.
- Review P&IDs;, specifications, instrument data sheets, and engineering inputs.
- Coordinate with Process, Piping, Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical teams.





Required Skills:

- Positive knowledge of instrumentation design and drafting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant instrumentation design software.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, instrument datasheets, and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of instrument symbols, cable routing, JB layouts, and termination details.
- Understanding of control valves, transmitters, sensors, and field instruments.
- Knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), AVEVA Instrumentation, or similar software will be an advantage.

Education:

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical, or a relevant engineering discipline.
