Position Title: Manager IT Hardware, Infrastructure & ELV Systems

Base Location: Dr. Hedgewar Hospital, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad)

Reporting To: Engineering Head / Medical Director

Network Scope:

- Dr. Hedgewar Hospital, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (650 Beds)
- Shri Guruji Hospital, Nashik (300 Beds)
- Swargadeo Siu-Ka-Pha Multi-Speciality Hospital, Sivasagar, Assam (300 Beds)
- Upcoming Bhagwan Birsa Munda CCL Super specialty Hospital, Ranchi (200 Beds)

Position Overview The Group IT Hardware & ELV Infrastructure Manager is responsible for central policy design, procurement standardization, commissioning, lifecycle maintenance, and uptime of all IT hardware, active/passive networking, and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) infrastructure across the network hospitals (~1,450+ cumulative beds). The role bridges hospital operations, biomedical interfaces (Cath-labs, modular OTs, Hi-tech Pathology & Radiology suites), and institutional IT governance to achieve high clinical availability at optimal lifecycle cost.

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure Planning, Standardization & Policy Frameworks

- Establish network-wide technical specifications and standardization benchmarks for enterprise servers, endpoint devices, structured cabling, backup power, and network racks.
- Draft, execute, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for hardware lifecycle replacement, preventive maintenance schedules, asset tagging, and end-of-life disposal.
- Evaluate emerging healthcare technologies (IoT edge devices, zero-trust hardware access, telemetry gateways) and design scalable adoption roadmaps.
- Support greenfield/brownfield planning for upcoming facilities (e.g., Ranchi project), ensuring structured cabling, server room ergonomics, cooling, and power distribution comply with NABH and international healthcare benchmarks.

2. Core IT Hardware & Mission-Critical Clinical Support





- Ensure 99.9% uptime for core IT backbones running HIS, RIS/PACS, LIS, and EMR across all 4 units.
- Manage hardware interfaces and robust network segregation for High-end Medical equipment (Cath-Labs, Modular OTs, CT/MRI consoles, Digital Pathology Analysers, ICU Central Nursing Consoles).
- Oversee On-premises Hypervisors/Servers, SAN/NAS Storage Clusters, Hardware Firewalls, managed switches, and failover Data Backup Systems.

3. ELV Systems Architecture & Operations Maintain and optimize the entire ELV ecosystem across all hospitals:

- IP Video Surveillance (CCTV, NVR/VMS, storage retention policies)
- Access Control & Time-Attendance Systems
- Building Management Systems (BMS integration with HVAC, clean room pressure monitoring, medical gas alarms)
- Public Address & Voice Alarm (PA/VA) and Code Announcement Systems
- Nurse Call Systems (IP/Conventional) and Master Clock synchronization.
- Audit physical security hardware quarterly to eliminate blind spots and ensure statutory data retention compliance.

4. Vendor Governance, AMC Management & Procurement Optimization

- Partner with the central procurement team to draft comprehensive RFPs, evaluate techno-commercial bids, and negotiate bulk enterprise pricing for hardware and ELV systems.
- Direct the lifecycle of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC/CAMC) and Comprehensive On-Site Support Agreements; enforce strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with penalty clauses for clinical-area downtime.
- Maintain a centralized inventory of high-turnaround spare parts, hot-swappable network switches, patch panels,



and sub-assemblies across units to minimize mean-time-to-repair (MTTR) while preventing excess capital lockup.

5. Multi-Site Operations & Team Leadership

- Provide operational steering and technical escalation support to in office IT hardware engineers at Nashik, Sivasagar, and Ranchi.
- Conduct periodic on-site audits and reviews across regional units to enforce hardware hygiene, cable dressing, server room temperature controls, and disaster readiness.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Criteria Requirements

Education

B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunications, or equivalent.

Experience

10–14 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure & ELV management; minimum 4–6 years in a senior role within multi-specialty hospitals (300+ beds).

Technical Certifications

CCNA/CCNP, ITIL Foundation, or Certified Training in Data Centre Infrastructure / ELV Systems (preferred).

Domain Knowledge

PACS/DICOM Hardware Interfacing, OT/Cath-lab Cabling Standards, IP Surveillance Topologies, BMS integration, Enterprise Power Redundancy (UPS/DG sync).

Competencies

Vendor Negotiation, SLA Enforcement, Capex/Opex Budgeting, Cross-functional Team Leadership, Crisis Handling.

Mobility

Willingness to travel periodically to Nashik, Sivasagar, and Ranchi for Project and Process Audits, Commissioning, Operations and Maintenance related requirements. .

- Clinical Uptime: 99.9% availability of hardware supporting mission-critical clinical applications (OT, ICU, Cath-lab, ER).
- Cost Optimization: Year-on-year Reduction in Unit Maintenance/AMC Costs through Multi-hospital Bulk Standardization.
- Incident Resolution: Adherence to MTTR targets (P1 clinical incidents resolved within 30 minutes).
