- Format and typeset Children Books, and other publications according to client specifications.
- Ensure accuracy in layout, typography, and design consistency across projects.
- Work with editors, designers, and project managers to meet quality and deadline requirements.
- Adapt layouts for print and digital publishing formats (eBooks, PDFs, etc.).
- Maintain knowledge of publishing standards, fonts, and typographic rules.
- Layout pages as per client requirements and specifications within the stipulated time.
- Making sure all marked corrections are properly interpreted and diligently carried out, no errors induced.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop will be an added advantage.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in typesetting,
preferably in the publishing industry.
- Proficiency in typesetting and publishing software.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent grammar, spelling, and formatting accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of eBook formatting and accessibility standards is a plus.
