The Incubation Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the incubation ecosystem at GICRISE and supporting startups throughout their entrepreneurial journey. The key responsibilities shall include:
1. Startup Incubation & Portfolio Management
· Manage and coordinate the complete startup incubation lifecycle, from application, screening and selection to incubation, acceleration, graduation and post-incubation support . · Maintain updated records, databases and progress reports of all incubated, pre-incubated and accelerated startups.
· Regularly monitor startup milestones, business development, technology/product development, funding requirements, revenue generation and market progress.
· Identify challenges faced by startups and facilitate timely interventions and support.
1. Startup Support, Mentoring & Capacity Building
· Facilitate mentoring sessions, expert consultations, workshops, training programmes and capacity-building initiatives for startups. · Understand the specific requirements of startups and connect them with relevant mentors, industry experts, investors, service providers and ecosystem stakeholders .
· Support startups in areas including business modelling, product development, intellectual property, funding, market access, commercialisation and scaling .
· Facilitate access to relevant resources, knowledge and institutional support.
1. Government Schemes & Programmes
· Coordinate the implementation and execution of programmes and schemes supported by Government Departments/Ministries, including StartInUP, MSME, Startup India, MeitY, DST and other relevant government agencies. · Assist in preparing and submitting applications, proposals, progress reports, utilisation documents, impact reports and other government-mandated documentation.
· Ensure timely compliance with the guidelines, milestones, deliverables and reporting requirements of government-supported programmes.
· Coordinate with concerned government officials/agencies for programme implementation, reviews, inspections and fund-related requirements.
1. Startup Selection & Evaluation
· Manage startup application, screening, evaluation and selection processes. · Organise pitch sessions, demo days, evaluation meetings, hackathons, ideathons, challenges and startup selection programmes .
· Coordinate with internal and external evaluators, mentors, subject-matter experts and evaluation committees.
· Ensure transparent, systematic and timely completion of the startup evaluation process.
1. Incubation Programmes & Events
· Plan, coordinate and execute pre-incubation, incubation and acceleration programmes . · Organise workshops, bootcamps, hackathons,
ideathons, investor connects, networking sessions, startup showcases and other ecosystem events.
· Coordinate participation of students, startups, mentors, investors, industry partners, government representatives and other stakeholders.
· Ensure effective execution, documentation and post-event reporting of all programmes and activities.
1. Industry, Investor & Ecosystem Engagement
· Develop and maintain professional relationships with industry partners, investors, venture capital funds, accelerators, incubators, government agencies, corporates and startup ecosystem organisations . · Facilitate investor connects, corporate engagements, strategic partnerships and market-access opportunities for startups.
· Identify potential collaboration opportunities that can strengthen the GICRISE startup ecosystem.
· Support startups in establishing relevant industry and investor connections.
1. Documentation, MIS & Reporting
· Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records related to startups, mentoring sessions, programmes, events, funding, investments, partnerships and outcomes. · Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, presentations, management reports, government reports and programme-related documentation as required.
· Maintain proper records for audits, compliance, inspections, reviews and institutional reporting.
· Ensure timely submission of all internal and external reports.
1. Coordination with University Stakeholders
· Coordinate with various Schools/Departments, faculty members, students and administrative departments of Galgotias University for innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives. · Promote innovation, entrepreneurship and startup culture across the University.
· Identify promising student and faculty innovations and facilitate their transition towards incubation and commercialisation.
· Coordinate university-level innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
1. Incubation Infrastructure & Facilities
· Coordinate the effective utilisation and management of incubation facilities, laboratories, co-working spaces, meeting rooms and other resources available at GICRISE. · Ensure proper scheduling and utilisation of incubation infrastructure by startups, students and programme participants.
· Coordinate with relevant university departments for maintenance, availability and operational requirements of incubation facilities.
1. Startup Performance Monitoring & Impact Assessment
· Establish and monitor startup-specific milestones, deliverables and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) . Track startup outcomes relating to:
o Startup creation and survival o Funding raised o Revenue generation o Employment creation o Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
o Product development o Market access o Strategic partnerships o Investment readiness and scaling
· Prepare periodic performance and impact reports for management and government stakeholders.
1. Any Other Incubation-Related Responsibility
· Undertake any other duties, assignments or responsibilities entrusted by the CEO, GICRISE / University Management from time to time in furtherance of the objectives and activities of GICRISE. Candidate Profile/Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate should preferably possess:
· A Postgraduate Degree in Management, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or any other relevant discipline.
· 4+ years of relevant professional experience in startup incubation, entrepreneurship development, innovation management, accelerator programmes, industry engagement, project management or a related field.
· Prior experience in managing startup incubation programmes, government schemes, innovation programmes and multi-stakeholder projects will be preferred.
· Experience in working with startups, entrepreneurs, students, faculty, government departments, investors, mentors and industry partners .
· Strong communication, interpersonal, coordination, networking, documentation and programme-management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously and work in a agile startup ecosystem.
· Strong proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace, presentations, MIS reporting and digital collaboration tools .
· Candidates with experience in government-funded programmes and startup ecosystem organisations will be preferred.
