- Prepare fresh, hygienic and tasty meals for the family as per their daily requirements.
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking utensils and cooking area.
- Purchase/assist with basic grocery and kitchen requirements when needed.
- Follow the family’s preferred recipes, cooking style and dietary preferences.
- Ensure food is prepared on time and the kitchen is kept organized.
- Properly store food items and avoid unnecessary wastage.
- Handle kitchen appliances and equipment responsibly.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and cleanliness while preparing food.
- Occasionally prepare special meals or dishes for guests when required.
Live-In Requirements
- The cook will stay at the family residence on a live-in basis.
- Accommodation and food will be provided by the family.
- The position requires the cook to be available at the residence as needed,
while maintaining reasonable rest and personal time.
- The cook is expected to be trustworthy, responsible, respectful and well-mannered.
- Privacy and household rules must be respected at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a home cook/family cook preferred.
- Good knowledge of Indian home-style cooking.
- Ability to prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is preferred.
- Clean, hygienic and organized working habits.
- Honest, reliable and responsible.
- Able to follow instructions and adapt to the family’s food preferences.
- References from previous employers will be appreciated.
