Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Functional Test Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Mobile Application Testing (Android/iOS) and API Testing. The candidate should be capable of independently leading end-to-end testing activities, reviewing test coverage, managing defects, and guiding QA team members.Experience in Digital Payments, Banking, FinTech, or transaction-intensive applications is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end functional testing for Mobile and API-based applications.

- Define test approach, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and execution plans.

- Perform Mobile Testing across Android and iOS platforms.

- Perform REST/SOAP API testing using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or SOAPUI.

- Validate API requests/responses, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON/XML payloads, authentication, and error scenarios.

- Test end-to-end transaction scenarios including success, failure, timeout, reversal, retry, and reconciliation.

- Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, and negative testing.

- Perform backend/data validation using SQL.

- Manage defects using JIRA/HP ALM or similar tools.

- Review test cases and defect reports prepared by QA team members.





- Coordinate with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders.

- Mentor QA engineers and provide testing status, risks, and release-readiness updates.

Mandatory Skills

- 7+ years of QA / Functional Testing experience.

- Strong hands-on Functional Testing experience.

- Strong Mobile Testing Android & iOS experience.

- Strong hands-on API Testing experience.

- Experience with Postman and knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI or SOAPUI.

- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON/XML, and request/response validation.

- Valuable knowledge of SQL for backend validation.

- Experience with JIRA / HP ALM or similar tools.

- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum.

- Experience leading or coordinating a QA/Functional Testing team.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Digital Payments, Banking, FinTech, or Financial Services.

- Understanding of payment transaction lifecycle, reconciliation, settlement, refunds, and reversals.

- Exposure to microservices and application log analysis.

- Basic exposure to API/UI automation is an added advantage
