We are hiring for the Manager Design Role for a Railway and infrastucture Industry.Who will lead and coordinate the design and engineering function from the Corporate Office, ensuring technically sound, constructible, economical and timely design deliverables for railway, highway, EPC and other infrastructure projects. The role will manage design consultants and internal engineers, coordinate with project execution, planning, estimation, procurement and contracts teams, and ensure drawings and technical documents comply with client requirements, applicable codes, specifications and project schedules.

Prior Corporate

Office / Head Office design-management experience is mandatory. The candidate should have handled design coordination and review for multiple projects/sites from a central technical function, including interaction with clients, consultants, project teams and statutory/approval authorities. Candidates with only site execution experience and limited design-management exposure should not be preferred.

Key Responsibilities Design Management

- Lead the corporate design function and establish design priorities based on project requirements and execution schedules.
- Review project scope, tender documents, BOQ, specifications, drawings and technical requirements before commencement of detailed design.




- Plan and monitor design deliverables, drawing schedules, technical submissions and approval timelines.
- Coordinate with internal design engineers, architects, specialist consultants and external design agencies.
- Review design calculations, drawings, specifications, method-related technical documents and engineering submissions for completeness and compliance.
- Ensure design solutions are practical, constructible, cost-effective and aligned with project methodology.
- Coordinate design interfaces among civil, structural, geotechnical, drainage, utilities and other relevant disciplines.
- Maintain a central design tracker covering submissions, revisions, comments, approvals and pending actions across projects.
