Rubber Sole Production

Position Purpose To lead and manage the Rubber Sole Production Department, ensuring smooth production operations, achievement of production targets, product quality, cost control, manpower utilization, safety, and continuous improvement in line with company requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Production Management

* Plan, organize, and control daily rubber sole production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
- Monitor production output, efficiency, rejection, and downtime.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machines, materials, manpower, and other resources.
- Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments for smooth production.

1. Manpower Management

* Plan and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and performance.
- Guide and supervise Production Managers, Supervisors, Operators, and Helpers.
- Identify manpower requirements and coordinate with HR for recruitment and deployment.

1. Quality Management

* Ensure rubber soles are produced according to approved specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor rejection, rework, defects, and customer complaints.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department to identify and eliminate root causes of defects.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality.

1. Machine & Process Management

* Ensure proper operation and utilization of production machines and equipment.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Monitor machine downtime and take corrective action to minimize production losses.
- Ensure production processes and parameters are followed correctly.

1. Material Management

* Ensure availability of rubber compounds, chemicals, moulds, and other production materials.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase to avoid material shortages.




- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of production materials.

1. Cost & Productivity Control

* Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Reduce material wastage, rejection, rework, and machine downtime.
- Improve production efficiency and overall equipment utilization.
- Implement productivity improvement initiatives.

1. Reporting & Documentation

* Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Monitor KPIs such as production quantity, efficiency, rejection, downtime, and productivity.
- Present production performance and improvement plans to management.
- Maintain proper production records and documentation.

1. Leadership & Coordination

* Lead the department and ensure effective communication across all levels.
- Conduct regular production review meetings.
- Resolve operational issues and take timely decisions.
- Coordinate with management to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- Ensure discipline and adherence to company policies within the department.

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Rubber Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in rubber sole, footwear, rubber molding, or similar manufacturing operations.
- Solid knowledge of rubber processing and production processes.
- Proven experience in production planning, manpower management, quality control, and team leadership.
