The Transport Lead will be responsible for managing end-to-end employee transportation operations for a corporate office with approximately 4,500+ employees. The role involves ensuring safe, reliable, cost-effective, and compliant transport services while maintaining high employee satisfaction levels.
The incumbent will work closely with transport vendors, security, HR, facilities, finance, and business leaders to optimize transportation services and support workplace occupancy requirements.
Key Responsibilities Transportation Operations ManagementManage daily employee transportation operations across all shifts.
Ensure seamless pickup and drop services for employees.
Monitor route adherence, vehicle utilization, trip completion, and service quality.
Maintain transport schedules in alignment with business requirements and workplace attendance programs.
Drive continuous improvement in transportation efficiency and employee experience.
Vendor ManagementManage transport vendors and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and governance meetings.
Monitor SLA compliance related to: On-time performance Vehicle availability Driver conduct Escalation resolution Safety compliance
Validate invoices and recommend approvals based on actual utilization.
Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with corporate transport policies and local regulations.
Conduct regular audits of: Vehicle fitness Insurance validity Driver licenses Background verification records GPS functionality
Drive road safety awareness initiatives.
Employee ExperienceManage transportation helpdesk and employee escalations.
Track employee feedback and satisfaction metrics.
Implement initiatives to enhance employee convenience and safety.
Cost Optimization & AnalyticsAnalyze transportation utilization and identify optimization opportunities.
Develop cost-benefit analyses for: Route consolidation Shuttle implementation
Monitor monthly transport budgets and identify savings opportunities.
Technology & Systems ManagementManage transport management platforms and mobile applications.
Ensure GPS and vehicle tracking systems are operational.
Generate and analyze transport dashboards and reports.
Reporting & GovernancePublish weekly and monthly operational reports.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Present transport performance updates to leadership teams.
Lead quarterly business reviews with vendors.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or related field.
Postgraduate qualification preferred.
8-12 years of experience in corporate transportation, facilities management, logistics, or fleet management.
Minimum 3-5 years in a team leadership role.
Experience managing transportation operations for 4,000+ employees preferred.
Experience in multinational corporate environments is highly desirable.
