Role Description This full-time, in office Gold Loan Officer role is based in the Greater Vadodara Area.

The Gold Loan

Officer will interact with walk-in customers, explain gold loan products, assess customer requirements, and guide them through the loan application process. Daily responsibilities include verifying customer documents, performing basic valuation checks of pledged gold as per company guidelines, and ensuring accurate data entry in internal systems. The role also involves processing loan disbursements, managing repayments and renewals, maintaining branch records, and supporting audit and compliance requirements.

Officer will contribute to local business development initiatives, uphold company standards for customer service and security, and collaborate with branch staff to meet sales and quality targets.

Qualifications

- Ability to deliver clear, courteous customer service and communicate effectively in English and local languages.
- Basic understanding of financial products, lending processes, and compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
- Strong attention to detail, with skills in documentation verification, data entry accuracy, and record-keeping.
- Numerical aptitude to handle cash transactions, calculate interest, and reconcile daily accounts.
- Integrity and reliability in handling pledged gold, sensitive customer information, and branch assets.
- Comfort working in a branch environment with defined targets, and the ability to collaborate with a small team.
- Prior experience in gold loans, retail banking, NBFCs, or financial services is an advantage.
- Minimum educational qualification of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; familiarity with MS Office or basic computer applications is preferred.
