Role Description This full-time, on-site General Surgeon role is based at Apex Hospitals in Sri Ganganagar Tehsil.

The General

Surgeon will perform elective and emergency surgical procedures, including pre-operative evaluation, intra-operative management, and post-operative care.

Responsibilities include assessing patients in outpatient and inpatient settings, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care with other specialists. The role involves participating in daily rounds, clinical case discussions, and quality improvement activities to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards.

The General





Surgeon will also contribute to patient education, documentation, and mentoring of junior medical staff where applicable.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Medicine, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of pre- and post-operative patients.
- Proficiency in core Surgery skills, with experience in general and emergency surgical procedures.
- Exposure or experience in Orthopedic Surgery for managing trauma and musculoskeletal conditions is an advantage.
- Exposure or experience in Plastic Surgery for wound management, reconstructive procedures, and soft tissue injuries is beneficial.
- Exposure or experience in Ophthalmology for basic ocular trauma assessment and referral coordination is a plus.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with MS/MD/DNB in General Surgery or equivalent, along with valid medical council registration.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, infection control, and patient safety standards.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to participate in emergency duty rosters, continuous learning, and hospital quality initiatives.
