General Counsel Legal

Location: Bangalore

Position Summary

- Lead the Legal function and act as the key legal advisor to business and senior leadership.
- Manage legal, regulatory, contractual, litigation, IP, governance and reputational risks.
- Provide strategic legal support for business growth, transformation, partnerships and M&A.;
- Oversee Corporate Secretarial, Compliance and Business Ethics functions.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise leadership on corporate, commercial, operational and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial, vendor, customer, licensing and partnership agreements.
- Manage food laws, FSSAI, labelling, consumer protection and advertising compliance.
- Oversee IP, trademarks, litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution.
- Lead legal due diligence, structuring and documentation for M&A; and strategic transactions.
- Handle sensitive employee matters, investigations and escalated disputes.
- Strengthen corporate governance, compliance, ethics and risk management frameworks.




- Manage external legal counsel and optimize legal costs.
- Monitor legal/regulatory changes and advise the business on impact and required actions.

Qualification & Experience
- LLB mandatory; LLM is an advantage.
- 16+ years of corporate legal experience, preferably in FMCG, Food & Beverage or consumer-facing businesses.
