About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Game Designer specializing in board game reasoning to join our client’s team on a full-time basis. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, providing an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about game mechanics, strategic reasoning, and AI development. The successful candidate will play a critical role in training and evaluating next-generation artificial intelligence models by designing and reviewing complex reasoning tasks rooted in board game scenarios.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, cognitive science, game design, philosophy, economics, or a related analytical field. A minimum of two years of professional or semi-professional experience in board game design, playtesting, tabletop gaming communities, or strategy-focused environments is required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of logic, probabilistic reasoning, game mechanics, and complex rule systems.

A background in game theory, behavioral economics, decision science, or formal logic is highly desirable. Excellent written communication skills are essential for documenting evaluation results, creating guidelines, and collaborating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities





- Create and review game-based reasoning tasks designed to evaluate AI systems, ensuring high quality and relevance.
- Analyze board-game scenarios, strategic decision trees, and rule-based systems to develop comprehensive datasets for AI training and evaluation.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for correctness, consistency, and reasoning quality, providing detailed feedback for improvements.
- Develop prompts, rubrics, and evaluation guidelines tailored to board-game and strategy-focused tasks to standardize assessment procedures.
- Identify logical errors, rule violations, and flawed reasoning in AI outputs, contributing to the creation of benchmarks and evaluation standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance dataset quality and refine evaluation methodologies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
